Halloween 2014

A shout out to our wonderful crew mom Laura who bought the pumpkins and shared her craft supplies with us.  We were all so amazed at the crew's creativity!  Also thanks to all families who brought food, supplies or helped at the party. It was a joyful day.

Service Learning Trip 2: Reading with our Preschool Buddies!

 
The children did such a great job serving their buddies by sharing a great book with them while practicing their fluent reading....sounding like the characters and reading with expression.  They are enjoying being the teachers.

For the second part of our visit my crew worked at the preschool centers.  They are still little too and enjoyed this very much.
As they play, they work on collaborating and communicating.

Silent Gallery Walk

We are ready to unveil the second part of our Family Expedition. 

  On Tuesday we looked at artifacts and we began wondering and predicting in our minds what we might be studying. 

During this silent gallery walk we learn to look at things in detail and connect what we see to what we might know.  

On Thursday we will share our predictions and then find out what we will be studying for the next few months.

We will be taking two fieldwork trips.  The children are going to love it!
